CEO: Rosatom to design 100-qubit quantum computer soon
GORKI, Moscow Region, Jul 3 (PRIME) -- Creating a 100-qubit quantum computer is the target of Russian nuclear power corporation Rosatom for the nearest years, CEO Alexei Likhachyov said on Tuesday at a meeting with Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
“Our target for today – and we’re a center of competence of the Digital Economy project of the Russian Federation on quantum directions – is to reach 100 qubits,” Likhachyov said.
This development will be among the priority ones, and Rosatom has certain ambitions on the matter.
Medvedev said that quantum research is the mainstream in the scientific world.
